A fire has broken out in the rural neighborhood of Yapıldak in Seyitgazi, Eskişehir. While efforts to bring the fire under control are continuing, five hectares of forest land have been affected.
Firefighter teams from the Eskişehir Regional Directorate of Forestry and nearby municipalities began efforts to extinguish the fire with two helicopters, 10 water tenders and 100 workers.
While the fire area has been encircled, the fire has not yet been brought under control. Citizens also participate in extinguishing efforts in the black pine forest with their own means.
Eight people who joined the efforts have been treated by medical teams after being affected by the smoke. One person who was injured in the arm was sent to the hospital. (AÖ/VK)
