The Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) announced on Monday (July 29) that it will put out a tender for the construction of recreational facilities around Lake Salda in the southwestern province of Burdur.
The tender was postponed after a meeting yesterday (July 31). Gülizar Biçer Karaca, an MP from the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), said that the TOKİ postponed the tender for a week because of more than one firms participated in the tender and for the evaluation of the bids.

Lake Salda, with its turquoise water and white beach, is known as "Turkey's Maldives" and has been a popular destination for tourists in recent years.
The CHP's Burdur organization held a protest demonstration against the tender on the beach of the lake on Tuesday. (PT/VK)
