The Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services of the Ministry of National Education has prepared a booklet for inservice training. The images used in the booklet have sparked criticisms after it was reported by Mustafa Mert Bildircin from daily BirGün.
Published on the Internet as well, the book has been prepared as a guide to be used by the school counsellors who have successfully completed the "Psychosocial Support Program Applied Training."
The booklet has chapters such as "Trauma and Post-Trauma", "Stress Disorders", "Trauma of Natural Disasters and its Prevention", "Trauma of Migration and its Prevention", "Trauma of Terror and its Prevention", "Trauma of Sexual Assault and its Prevention", "Trauma of Suicide and its Prevention", "Trauma of Death-Mourning and its Prevention", "Trauma and Special Training", "Preventive Support Program Activities", "Psychosocial Support Program" and "Warm-up Activities."
Under the chapter of "Sexual Abuse", the book has also explained what good touch and bad touch is. The below image has been used as "Annex-1". In the explanation of the image, it has been indicated "Annex-1 (The image of a mother who kisses and affectionately hugs her child)".
The explanation of the below image of Annex-7 has been the following: "The image of a child who is not happy with the adult's attempt to kiss."
The following image has been used for the short narrative: "While a child is playing on the street, her neighbor comes to her and says that she wants to kiss her. The neighbor kisses her though the child says, 'No'."
