Erdoğan: We Will Not Lose Economic War

President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has spoken about the recent developments in the economy after the Friday prayer at the Ulu Mosque in Bayburt today (August 10).

Erdoğan has said, "We will not lose the economic war."

As of 2.25 p.m. today, the exchange rate of the US Dollar was 5.95 Turkish Lira while the exchange rate of Euro was 6.84 Turkish Lira.

During the day, the exchange rate of US Dollar hit 6.46 TRY and the exchange rate of Euro hit 7.20 TRY.

When the markets closed last evening, 1 Euro was 6.32 Turkish Lira and 1 US Dollar was 5.46 Turkish Lira.

The exchange rate of US Dollar was 5.07 TRY same day last week; 4.78 TRY same day last month; 3.80 TRY same day six months ago; 3.53 TRY same day last year ; and 1.93 TRY same day five years ago.

As for Euro, its exchange rate was 6.27 TRY same day last week; 5.61 TRY same day last month; 4.67 TRY same day six months ago; 4.14 TRY same day last year; and 2.56 TRY same day five years ago.
