The Harem Of No One, a queer collective from London is organizing a solidarity event for İstanbul Pride.
Every year, İstanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week has been celebrated with various events such as workshops, movie screenings, presentations, and panel discussions in the last week of June and the week ends with a march on the last Sunday of June, which has been denied permission by the Governorship of Istanbul authorities since 2015.
2022 marks the 30th year of İstanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week and the Committee for the 30th LGBTI+ Pride Week said that this year's Pride Week theme will be "resistance".

The Harem Of No One, which defines itself as a collective of queer folk, women of Turkish, Kurdish, Cypriot, Southwest Asian heritages, from East London, has announced the solidarity event from its social media accounts with stating that all of the profit made from the event which will be held on June 2 will be donated to the activists working to organize the Pride activities in Istanbul.
The collective underlined the importance of solidarity and included the following statements in the announcement:
"Pride gatherings are banned in Turkey since 2015. We do not accept it and we stand together in solidarity against any attempt to oppress and silence LGBTQIA+ people."
"The Harem Of No One, the middle-eastern trouble makers gather together once again for one of the first events of the Pride Months, getting ready for their biggest event ever. "
"Pride committees in the country still come together and organize conferences, panels, workshops, and parties during the Pride Month and rely on donations to do so. We believe the work they are doing is important and would like to stand in solidarity and dedicate our biggest event this year to them to financially support their endeavors. All of the profit we make of this event will be donated to the activists working to organize the Pride activities in Istanbul."

About the event
The party will take place at the Bethnal Green Working Men's Club on June 2. The show will be hosted by Cazeleon, one of the famous drag artists of London. Other guests are Darlink Dick, Martha Barbra, Queen Döner, Tahini Molasses, Shekerparé and Sissy Sis. East London's iconic DJ & Producer Grace Sands joined by Toby Kind will perform at the event.
