Rescue efforts continue in the collapsed buildings in February 6 earthquakes. People rescued alive 79 hours after the quake from under debris were reported.
Haber Global reported that a woman was saved alive at hour 79 in a collapsed apartment building on Temelli Avenue in Malatya.
A two-year-old minor was saved on hour 79 also in Hatay, Anadolu Agency reported.
Three others were rescued at the same hour in Antakya, one of them three years old.
A man was rescued 80 hours after the earthquake in Maraş and taken to the hospital.
Works ended in Urfa and Kilis
The rescue efforts continue in Hatay, Maraş, Antep, Malatya, Adıyaman, Osmaniye, Diyarbakır, and Adana.
The Disaster and Emergency Presidency (AFAD) announced that the rescue works ended in Urfa and in Kilis and that the rescue teams were sent to the other provinces.
Children and old trapped for days
In Adıyaman, in the Sümenevler neighborhood, a child waiting to be rescued under the debris of a 5-floor building that collapsed talked about football with his father and the teams. The child was rescued 62 hours after the earthquake.
A seven-month baby and a 9-year-old child were rescued 58 hours after the earthquake in Adıyaman city center.
A 13-year-old was rescued 55 hours after the earthquake holding a budgerigar in his hands. His mother was also saved, an hour later.
An 88-year-old person was rescued in Hatay 62 hours after the earthquake and taken to the hospital.
An 84-year-old woman was rescued in Battalgazi, Malatya. (AS)
