There is snow in the earthquake-hit Maraş, Antep, Malatya, Diyarbakır, Kilis, Urfa, and Adıyaman, and rain in Hatay, Osmaniye, and Adana today. The lowest air temperature forecast for the coming days is 5 below zero.
A second 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Elbistan, Maraş only 10 hours after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Pazarcık, Maraş today, reportedly killing 1014 people in Türkiye so far and also hundreds in Syria.
While rescue efforts continue for the hundreds trapped under debris, the severe weather conditions make the conditions even more difficult. Both for the rescuers and those who have to leave their homes and stay out.
It is nowhere higher than 7 degrees centigrade in Maraş and in the surrounding provinces where the earthquake hit.
