The Turkish Army Authorities released a statement, claiming that the recent killing of 3 Turkish soldiers in Yüksekova was perpetrated by PKK despite the latter’s denial statement. 

The statement read as follows [this translation is not official]:

“On October 28, 2014 between 10:30 am and 10:35 am local time, a transmission between so-called Medya Defense Fields responsible Fehmi Atalay known by the nom de guerre Amed Malazgirt and so-called Cilo State responsible Sadettin Dede  known by the nom de guerre Kendal Glort and so-called Yüksekova Self Defense Unit responsible Fazıl Çağrı revealed that the killing of 3 Turkish Army soldiers on October 25, 2014 in Hakkâri’s Yüksekova district were killed by a group of terrorist under the command of Fazıl Çağrı. We inform the public with respect.” (AS/BM)
