Prosecutors in İstanbul have opened an investigation into the killing of a two-year-old child in the Beylikdüzü district on Tuesday (September 6).
The child was brought to the hospital by her family, who said she had fallen off the balcony.
However, bianet revealed that the initial examination of the child suggested that she had been sexually abused as "tears" were found in her vaginal area.

A doctor at the hospital told bianet that the child's family did not want an autopsy to be carried out on her body.
"They gathered many people at the hospital because they did not want an autopsy to be carried out on the baby. They resisted so that an autopsy would not be performed. The police forcibly dispersed these people," he had said.
"When the family wanted to take the child's body and leave immediately, we said there was a 'suspicious situation.' They said she fell on a beanpole. They said the only eyewitness was her five-year-old sister. We are very worried about her, too."
The Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office today announced that it had opened an investigation into the incident.
Also, MP Ahmet Şık of the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) today submitted parliamentary questions to four ministries about the incident — The Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice.
Şık asked the ministries whether the claims mentioned in the bianet report were true. (VK)
