A middle school teacher in Aksaray, central Turkey, was suspended from duty after beating a student.
The Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Ali Rıza Y. was released upon judicial control measures after one day in detention.
The investigation into the incident started after the security camera footage showing the teacher beating the student spread on social media.
The Provincial Directorate of National Education announced that both administrative and judicial investigations against the teacher are continuing.
Doctors who examined the child after the incident issued a report that he can't go to school for 10 days, said the child's father. (AÖ/VK)
