Search and rescue efforts are underway for a 15-year-old child who has gone missing in sea in the Mediterranean province of Antalya. Going into the water on the Evrenseki coast in the evening hours yesterday, the high-school student went missing after some time. Informed about the incident, the Coast Guard Command, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue and Fire Brigade teams have started searching for the child.
In the last 4 days, children died by drowning or have been rescued while they were about to drown in sea or ponds in different cities.
İzmir
In Urla district in the Aegean province of İzmir, 13-year-old Hamdullah Peker went into the sea to cool off.
As he did not come out of the water, his friends started searching for him. Lying still in the water near the Akkum Coast in Özbek Neighborhood, Peker underwent the first medical intervention by the paramedic teams who came to the scene of the incident after he was taken out of the water and the paramedic teams and gendarmerie officers were informed.
Taken to the Urla Public Hospital, Peker has lost his life.
Adıyaman
In the eastern province of Adıyaman, 12-year-old Faysal El Sincar from Syria went into Lake Gölbaşı to cool off.
Having started to struggle in the water after some time, he was no longer to be seen. The police, gendarmerie and paramedic teams were referred to the scene of the incident after Faysal's friends reported the issue. Diver police officers from the Provincial Security Directorate and fire brigade teams of the Gölbaşı Neighborhood found the deceased body of the child.
The dead body of Faysal El Sincar has been sent to the Gölbaşı Public Hospital's mortuary for the autopsy.
Samsun
In the Black Sea province of Samsun, 13-year-old Mustafa fell into a well while he was playing in the garden of his house.
Paramedics and fire brigade teams were referred to the area. Taken out of the well, the child had lost his life.
Maraş
In the southeastern province of Maraş, a father from Syria drowned together with his child in a dam pond, where he went fishing.
Going into the Sır Dam for fishing, 7-year-old Bilal Bekro was no longer to be seen on the surface of the water. Realizing that his son was about to drown, father Yusuf Bekro entered the pond as well.
As both the father and son disappeared, the ones who saw the incident called the security forces. The diver teams searched for them for 40 minutes. Their deceased bodies have been found by the teams.

Afyon
In the district of Çay in Afyon, the dead body of a child who went missing in a dam pond and the dead body of his uncle have been found.
Two cousins went into the Karamık Dam Pond to cool off. As the pond got deeper, they started crying for help, saying, "We cannot breathe."
Paternal uncle Uğur Akın entered the water to rescue the cousins. Uğur Akın also disappeared after some time. Paramedics and gendarmerie teams were referred to the area after being informed. The diver teams have found the dead bodies of the 16-year-old child and his uncle.
Adana
In Adana province, the dead body of a 12-year-old girl who got missing has been found in a pond. The child went missing while roaming around in the highland. The family of the child and citizens started searching for the girl. When they saw her clothes by the waterside, they went into the water. The dead body of the child has been found in the pond.
While the incident has been reported to the gendarmerie forces, the dead body of the child has been taken to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution's mortuary for the post-mortem examination.
