İstanbul Museum of Modern Art has opened an online exhibition consisting of the work of 43 photographers from different generations.
It says the exhibition aims to think together about "What does photography mean in challenging times like this?" in the days of people's confinement to their homes.
"The whole world is sharing an experience of restricted movement and interaction. We are trying to understand and make sense of existence during this ambiguous, uncanny period, which cannot be easily described," the museum's photography department says. "For some, this experience has led to new discoveries; for others, it has provided opportunities to review past practices and give them new meanings."
While the İstanbul Modern will reopen on June 16, the "Photography in the Days of Pandemic" exhibition will be accessible until November 15.
