Journalist Şener, arrested in the scope of the Ergenekon investigation since 6 March, applied to the European Court of Human Rights because of violations of the "prohibition of torture", the "right to personal freedom" and the "right to freedom of expression".

The Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions Research Institute released the "Report on Working Hours". Turkish workers work longer hours and do more extra hours than workers in other countries. At the same time, their right to paid leave is extremely restricted in international comparison.
