Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Siirt MP Meral Danış Beştaş submitted a parliamentary question on the deaths caused by armored vehicles after the killing of six-year-old Efe Tekin yesterday (September 12).

Beştaş asked the following questions to Vice-President Fuat Oktay:
* How many people lost their lives because of being hit by armored vehicles used by security officers in the last 17 years?
* How many people lost their lives in fires caused by technical malfunction and accidents involving panzers in the last 17 years?
* How many law enforcement officers went under administrative investigations because of the deaths caused by armored vehicles?
* How many law enforcement officers were dismissed because of the deaths?
* How many investigations against law enforcement officers ended due to lack of grounds for legal action?
* How many law enforcement officers were sued in the deaths caused by armored vehicles? What were the results of the cases?
* How many law enforcement officers have been convicted?
* How many law enforcement officers were acquitted?
* Kolluk görevlilerin zırhlı araçlarla yahut teknik arıza sonucu çıkan ateş neticesinde meydana gelen can kayıpları ile ilgili yaşam hakkı ihlallerine ilişkin bir çalışma yürüttünüz mü?
* What is the reason for the constant presence of armored vehicles in the streets of Diyarbakır and other Kurdish provinces? Is there an undeclared state of emergency?
* Are the law enforcement officers who are responsible for Efe's death currently on duty? Are there any judicial and administrative investigations initiated against them? What is the reason if an investigation has not yet been initiated? (RT/VK)
