The joint presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance and the leader of the Republican People's Party Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Major Ekrem İmamoğlu addressed a gathering in Trabzon in the east Blacksea region of Turkey.
There was a storm warning before Kılıçdaroğlu and İmamoğlu's visit to Trabzon but they were not allowed to set up a tent at Trabzon's Atatürk airport where they were going to address the people.
"We have a Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu storm"
During the gathering, İmamoğlu was on the stage first. The İstanbul Mayor elected in 2019, whose family is from Trabzon reminded all that the ruling party supporters were saying, "Who loses İstanbul will lose Turkey also. And whoever wins in İstanbul will win in Turkey, too."He then addressed Erdoğan and said, "You already understood that you will be losing in the election."
"They will be losing because the period for a few to earn has ended. 86 million people will be winning and earning. There will not be any separation, we will unite and we will win. Everything will be very good. Today there is a storm on the Blacksea and in Trabzon. We have a Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu storm, who will be our 13th President," İmamoğlu said.
"We will be working for the people"
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu addressed the crowd after İmamoğlu.
"This country needs to unite," he said, "this country needs to embrace each other. I promise. I promise Turkey, I promise Trabzon that we will give an end to this polarization. We will reconstruct the beautiful Turkey. We will construct a Turkey where no child goes to bed hungry."
The presidential candidate promised to wipe off the interest for the loans that the shopkeepers took during the pandemic within one month. Kılıçdaroğlu also promised to abolish the withholding tax that the shopkeepers pay.
"I will definitely bring this country justice. I promise the youth, I will end favoritism. We, the six leaders came together. We will bring justice, fair income distribution, and women's rights," told Kılıçdaroğlu the Trabzon residents. (EMK/PE)
