Unknown perpetrators early today (August 16) attacked the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) office in the Keçiören district of the capital city of Ankara.
The attack took place at around 2 a.m., the Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reported.
The attackers broke into the office and took down the photographs of Aysel Tuğluk, a former senior figure of the HDP who is now in prison despite severe illness.
HDP officials filed a criminal complaint after viewing the security camera footage.
They said their office in Keçiören, a stronghold of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), had been attacked many times and the criminal complaints they had filed yielded no results.
The latest attack on the office took place in 2020, when the attackers broke the windows of the office and hung flags of Türkiye, as well as the photographs of soldiers who were killed in Syria's Idlib. (TY/VK)
