İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality has begun collecting hundreds of vehicles rented during the AKP era. The cars are being piled up on Yenikapı Square.
CHP executives confirmed that they are the rental cars of the municipality. Hundreds of vehicles were lined up side by side, according to photos shared on social media.
The Metropolitan Municipality has yet to issue an official statement, but all vehicles are expected to be completed by Sunday, according to claims.

İmamoğlu, who was elected Mayor of İstanbul on June 23, promised that he will display the surplus cars of the municipality. İmamoğlu bir başka açıklamasında ise araçların toplanması için çalışma arkadaşlarına talimat verdiğini söylemişti.
CHP Ankara MP Haluk Koç posted the photos on his Twitter account and said, "These are the photos of waste."
CHP İstanbul Provincial President Canan Kaftancıoğlu also tweeted, saying, "This is only the beginning. Betrayals to the people will come to an end." (HA/VK)
