Ekrem İmamoğlu, the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) mayor-elect for İstanbul, has announced his, his wife's and his father's assets.
Accordingly, İmamoğlu owns 4 million 682 thousand Turkish liras (~809 thousand US dollars) worth of building plots, houses and stores.
He has 3 million 70 thousand liras of debt and 3 million 600 thousand liras of debt receivable.
İmamoğlu also has a 60 percent share in a real estate company in which Hasan İmamoğlu has a 20 percent share.
Dilek İmamoğlu, the wife of the mayor-elect, also has several real estate properties and 841 thousand liras of jewelry.
İmamoğlu and his rival Binali Yıldırım from the governing Justice and Development Party (AKP) agreed to announce their assets in a live TV debate before the June 23 election rerun for İstanbul.
While Yıldırım has not made an announcement on his assets, he filed a complaint against an article that questions his wealth on T24. The court blocked access to the article. (TP/VK)
