Four people were taken into custody in raids conducted in Tekirdağ, northwestern Turkey.
The detainees were taken to the Tekirdağ police headquarters on charges of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization."
According to the Mezopotamya Agency (MA), the four are expected to be sent to Tekirdağ Courthouse tomorrow (April 27) for questioning.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, HDP MP Tayip Temel announced that members of the HDP Central Executive Board, deputy co-chairs, and other party officials had been detained in an operation centered in Diyarbakır.
In response, 33 bar associations across Turkey issued a joint statement condemning the recent raids and detentions, and called for an end to the ban on lawyer visits and restrictions on access to information.
Today, 128 of the 216 people who were issued arrest warrants by the Diyarbakır 3rd Criminal Peace Court were taken into custody for questioning. The warrants were issued as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged links to a terrorist organization. The detainees are currently being questioned by police. (TY/VK)
