İbrahim Yıldız, for whom there was a warrant for killing Celal Şenyaşar and injuring Adil Şenyaşar in Suruç, Urfa in 2018 died in a hospital where he had a surgical operation.
Mezopotamya Agency reported that İbrahim Yıldız had the operation in a private hospital in Mersin on March 14 using his own identity card and that he died during the operation.
It was also revealed that Yıldız married connection of İbrahim Halil Yıldız, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP three years ago and they had one child.
Yıldız's body was first taken to the mortuary in Suruç State Hospital but was later taken to Urfa to carry out an autopsy before his burial.
What happened?
On June 14, 2018, during the election campaign in Suruç, the bodyguards and relatives of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız first had a quarrel with the Şenyaşar family members at their shop and then carried out an armed attack first at Şenyaşar's shop and then continuing at the hospital in which Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar (66), his son Adil Şenyaşar (25) and Celal Şenyaşar (45) and Mehmet Şah Yıldız, İbrahim Halil Yıldız's elder brother lost their lives. A total of eight people were injured in the event, including Mehmet, Ferit, and Fadıl Şenyaşar, the other sons of the Şenyaşar family.
Having lost his father and two brothers and wounded himself in the incident, Fadıl Şenyaşar was discharged from the hospital and detained on June 17. He was then arrested and sent to prison.
Demanding justice for two sons, her husband and her arrested son, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have been keeping a "justice watch" in front of the courthouse.
The case file was separated into two, one for the incident at the shop and the other for the incident at the hospital. Fugitive suspect İbrahim Yıldız's file was separated from the first file. (RT/PE)
