Two soldiers lose their lives in 'Operation Claw'

The Ministry of National Defense has announced that two soldiers lost their lives in the "Operation Claw" region following a harassing fire by PKK. 

Contracted soldiers Hasan Taş and Furkan Günergök who were critically wounded in the harassing fire could not be saved despite all medical interventions, the announcement by the Mİnistry informed. 

The funeral ceremony for Taş will be held in Elbistan, Maraş, and the ceremony for Günergök in Bingöl. 

The "Claw" operations, the first of which was carried out on May 28, 2019, in the Zab, Avasin, and Metina parts of the region governed by the Kurdistan Regional Government against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), have continued since then. (NT/PE)
