One soldier was killed and eight others were wounded during the Operation Peace Spring, the Ministry of National Defense has announced.
The casualties were caused by mortar and artillery fire by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from Manbij city on the Operation Peace Spring zone, according to the state-run AA.
The Syrian army began to enter Manbij yesterday (October 14) after an agreement between the SDF and Damascus.
The ministry stated that Turkey's army identified the targets where the attack came from and hit them.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on October 13 that two soldiers and 18 civilians lost their lives in the operation that started on October 9. (AS/VK)
