A mortar attack targeted Suruç district in the Kurdish-majority southeastern province of Urfa, killing two civilians and wounding two others.
The attack came from the area held by the People's Defense Units (YPG), according to the state-run Anadolu Agency. Three more mortar shells hit empty lands.
Previously, seven civilians, including five children, were killed in border districts of Urfa and Mardin provinces.
A nine-month-old baby, Muhammed Omar, and Cihan Güneş, a revenue assistant specialist, were killed in the attacks targeting Akçakale district of Urfa yesterday (October 10).
Elif Terim and Mazlum Güneş, two children both were 11 years old, lost their lives at the hospital after being critically injured in the Ceylanpınar district of Urfa.
In Nusaybin district of Mardin province, Fatma Yildiz (48) and her daughters Emine (12) and Leyla (15) were also killed yesterday.
