President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the United Nations General Assembly that will take place between September 19-22 in New York, US.
In the last year, the assembly was held via video conference due to the high Covid-19 infection rate in New York. Three weeks ago, the Us suggested that this year's summit would be held virtually as well.
Erdoğan is expected to meet US President Joe Biden, as well as other leaders, on the sidelines of the summit, according to reports in the media.
Erdoğan and Biden had the first phone conversation in late April, more than three months after the latter's inauguration. They had their first in-person meeting as the presidents on the sidelines of a NATO summit in June. (PT/VK)
