İstanbul Provincial Chairperson of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Canan Kaftancıoğlu, announced that an armed attack was made on the İstanbul office of the party today.
"An armed attack was which is thought to have targeted the CHP İstanbul Presidency building in the Seyrantepe district on TEM autobahn around 05:00 am in the morning today (April 6).
The police officer appointed to the building and private security personnel near the building have stated that 6-7 gunshots were fired.
No bullets could be found that hit our İstanbul Presidency in the first examinations made but empty cases have been found on the site.
The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing. We will be giving information on the developments.

Announcement from Good Party
Buğra Kavuncu, who is the Vice President of the Good Party (İYİ) responsible for the election campaign, shared a post on her social media and said, "To the Good Party yesterday and to the Republican People's Party today! The attacks will not stray us from our path. Democracy and people's will is going to triumph."
An armed attack was made on the Good Party İstanbul office in Zeytinburnu on March 31 and two bullets hit the windows of the party building. M.E. who was taken into custody in the scope of the investigation on the event was later released.
Solidarity message from EMEP
The Labor Party (EMEP) President Ercüment Akdeniz wrote the following on his social media:
"I called Canan Kaftancıoğlu related to the armed attack made to the CHP İstanbul office. I told her, "We are only as far as we are to our phones. We will keep the solidarity at the utmost level." We will overcome this darkness altogether. We send our solidarity to our friends in CHP."
