More than 120,000 health workers, or about 10 percent of the health workers in the country, tested positive for Covid-19 while 216 lost their lives, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said yesterday (December 9).
The Turkish Medical Association (TTB) announced on Sunday (December 6) that 63 health workers lost their lives in November alone.
The TTB previously stated that the causes of death of those who had received Covid-19 treatment without a positive PCR test were not recorded as "Covid-19."
Health workers have also criticized the government for not recognizing Covid-19 as an occupational disease.
