Releasing a circular, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism mandated "all accommodation facilities with 50 rooms or more" to receive a Safe Tourism Certificate, which confirms that the facility abides by health and hygiene conditions determined by international certification organizations.
The ministry said it would ensure continuity with monthly inspections.
Guests diagnosed with Covid-19
If a customer residing abroad is diagnosed with Covid-19 but does not need to be hospitalized, s/he will be allowed to stay at the facility.
Customers diagnosed with Covid-19, their family members and those who stay in the same room with them will sign a document that they accept staying in "guest isolation rooms" and not leaving them during their stay.
Hotels will set up one isolation room per 50 rooms, according to the circular. They will be served by specially trained hotel employees with protective equipment.
Operations of hotels that violate these conditions will be halted, the Ministry said. (TP/VK)
