After Turkey confirmed its first coronavirus case, an investigation has been opened into the surging prices of medical respirators and disinfection supplies.
İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated today (March 11) that it opened the investigation after news reports that the prices were surging.
It has become common to see people wearing surgical face masks in İstanbul, the largest city of Turkey, especially in public transport stations and vehicles.
