The Ministry of Trade has restricted the imports of medical stuff including respirators.
According to a statement published in the Official Gazette today (March 4), imports of protective masks (masks that have a filter for dust, gases or radioactive dust), jumpsuits (protective work uniform), liquid-proof aprons (protective aprons used against chemicals), protective glasses, and medical gloves are subjected to a permit by public authorities.
The ministry's move came amid the coronavirus outbreak, which has reached four of Turkey's eight neighbors.
