Prosecutors decided not to prosecute the death of Nadira Kadirova, who allegedly committed suicide in in the house of an MP she was working for.
Kadirova was found dead on September 23, 2019 in the house of Şirin Ünal, a deputy from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). she was claimed to shot herself dead with Ünal's weapon.

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated that "It has been understood that the young girl committed suicide, there was no person or people who instigated, encouraged her to suicide, strengthened the decision for suicide, or help her commit suicide," daily Evrensel reported.
It also cited Kadirova's autopsy report, which says no traces of sexual assault was found on her body. Considering the content of Kadirova's notebook and two suicide notes, the prosecutor's office concluded that the case was a suicide. (EMK/VK)
