Lawyer Müjde Tozbey-Erden, the chairperson of the Children and Women First Association, has announced that she resigned as the attorney of the Kadirova family.
Nadira Kadirova (23) allegedly committed suicide at the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP Şirin Ünal's house on September 23.
Both the family and opposition MPs labeled the death of Kadirova suspicious, with MPs submitting parliamentary questions on the incident.
She became the attorney of the family on September 25 and strived to shed a light on Nadira's suspicious death, Tozbey-Erden said in a statement.
With the support of Nadira's friends, the press, their colleagues and the support of the public, they prevented the closure of the investigation, she added.
"But at this point, we felt the need to resign as the attorney of Nadira's family as we have different points of view," the attorney noted. (EMK/VK)
