A three-year-old child lost her life at the hospital after falling into an elevator shaft in Beylikdüzü, İstanbul.
Demirören News Agency (DHA) journalists Ahmet Yeşilmen and Kubilay Özev and İhlas News Agency (İHA) reporter Erdal Can İçelli were prevented from covering the incident by neighborhood guards.
Neighborhood guards are a law enforcement unit tasked with assisting the police.
"I, my camera operator Kubilay Özev and İHA reporter Erdal Can İçelli were attacked by guards in the place where we went to report on Zümra Nur, who went missing last night and lost her life at the hospital where she was taken. #Journalismisnotacrime," Yeşilmen wrote on Twitter.
