In a written statement issued by the Governor of Sulaymaniyah, Hafal Ebu Bakr, it has been stated, "Due to the developments in Afrin, a three-day mourning has been declared in Sulaymaniyah. All events relating to Newroz celebrations have also been cancelled."
The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and Free Syrian Army (FSA) announced yesterday that within the scope of "Operation Olive Branch," which was launched on January 20, 2018 and has been continuing since then, Afrin city center has been brought under their control. (PT/SD)
