President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that he doesn’t find seven countries cutting ties with Qatar for “supporting terrorism” wrong.
“We appreciate Qatar’s attitude”
Speaking at the iftar organized at the Justice and Development Party (AKP) Headquarters, Erdoğan said “I deem Qatar being defined as a terror suspect as a severe accusation”.
“The most correct way to solve the issues among the Gulf Cooperation Council is to establish a dialogue.
“Within this framework, we appreciate Qatar’s calm and constructive attitude.
“Isolating Qatar doesn’t contribute to the solution. I hope all sanctions imposed on Qatar will be lifted.
“We are going to develop and sustain our relations with Qatar as we do with all our friends”. (EKN/TK)
