Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affair Sergey Lavrov has stated that they are worried about the operations that Turkey launch against the YPG into northern Syria.
According to Sputnik News, holding a press conference in Russia’s capital city of Moscow, Lavrov said in response to a question about Turkish Armed Forces’ operations in northern Syria:
“Syria is a sovereign state, a member of the United Nations and has total sovereignty on its airspace.
“As for the airstrikes launched by the Turkish Air Forces into northern Syria, we are very worried about those. To my understanding, these offensives are launched on regions where Kurds live”. (EKN/TK)
