Russia on Jarablus Operation

Russian Ministry of Foreign Affair has delivered a statement as to operation launched by Turkish Armed Forces and Free Syrian Army supported by the US-led coalition into Jarablus.

“The progresses taking place on Turkey-Syria border are causing a deep concern in Moscow”, Sputnik reported.

The ministry used the following phrases in its statement:

“First of all, the risk that the situation in the conflict zone might become more unstable is disturbing us since it might lead to civilian deaths and fuel ethnic conflicts between Kurds and Arabs.

“We are sure that the Syrian crisis can be solved on international legal base and by maintaining dialogue with a broad participation among Syrian sides including Kurds too”. (AS/DG)
