Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mariya Zaharova as to Sputnik Turkey Director Tural Kerimova being refused entry to Turkey has noted “These actions attest to the non-existence of freedom of press in Turkey. Because they do what whatever they want to. We consider such practices illegal”.

According to the report on Sputnik News, Zaharova has pointed out to the oppressions journalists were exposed to in Turkey and such practices were an attest to the pressure policies Ankara had been imposing on the press in Turkey.
Zaharova has also added that the pressure on press in Turkey should not only be Russia’s business and asked “Why has the EU (European Union) been ignoring the oppressions against journalists in Turkey?”.

Zaharova has in addition criticized the Turkey’s Syria politics:
“Turkey adds fuel to the fire”
“Turkey’s odd practices on Syrian border adds fuel to the fire.
“Turkey’s aim in supporting the terrorist groups in Syria is to destroy the political process in Syria.”
“Someday everybody will see documents showing Turkey supporting ISIS”
”Since February, we have demonstrated a series of documents proving the support Turkey has been providing for ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Yet these documents are not being published by international press. It seems that international journalists have been ignoring these documents. Yet we believe that someday everybody will see these documents.
“The Riyadh-backed High Negotiations Committee (HNC), one of the main opposition groups in Geneva withdrawing from the negotiations is nothing else than a message of solidarity with the terrorists.
