EU Urges Turkey to Cease Attacks

The European Union (EU) has urged Turkey to cease the bombardment against People’s Defence Units (YPG) forces.

In her statement on Turkey’s actions, Federica Mogherini; High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy has noted; “A few days ago, we had set on the same table and agreed on to minimize the tension and putting an end to the hostility. Also Turkey was on that table. What we were expecting was not the clashes to escalate”.

Netherlands: “Must stick to the plan”

EU Term President and Netherlands’ Foreign Minister Bert Koenders has also noted that they expected that everybody would stick to the plan agreed on to put an end to the hostility. (YY/DG)
