Planned to be held in seven cities across Turkey in March-May 2020, but postponed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 18th International Filmmor Women's Film Festival on Wheels will be held online on the festival website from June 12 to 22, 2020.
The festival will be opened online with live broadcasting on June 12 at 9 p.m. with women from all around the world who make the festival possible.
This year the festival features Rights-Based Cinema, Women's Cinema, Our Body are Ours, Sex-Gender-Sexuality, Consecutive Films sections as well as Alice Guy-Blaché in Feminist Memory and Claire Pijman in Feminist Frame.
This year, Rights-Based Cinema and Women Producing Art and Culture Locally panels, Make Your Own Movie workshop, Q&As with directors and crews, forums and more can be watched from Filmmor's website. This year, sector meetings continue with Women with Cameras.
Golden Okra Award will also be announced at the closing of the festival. Saying "Equal rights, space, wage, fee are not gifts; they are women's rights," Purple Camera Solidarity Award goes to all films in festival program.
All films and events of the festival can be watched free by signing up at www.filmmor.org with English and Turkish subtitles.
