NTV television channel has apologized to actress Berrak Tüzünataç.
"NTV Yaşam" had published a news item yesterday from its Twitter page about Tüzünataç's outfit to GQ Turkey magazine's "Man of The Year" contest on Friday, February 16, calling the outfit "inviting".
Following Tüzünataç's warning, the expression was removed from the item, and the tweet was deleted.
Tüzünataç reacts to tweet
NTV, in their picture gallery news piece had called Tüzünataç's outfit "inviting".
Tüzünataç's response was as follows:
"Who needs harassers when our media uses this tone? Thanks to everyone who responded with a warning about the tone."
NTV starts by changing news item
At first, NTV removed this tweet. They changed the tone of the news item and posted it again.
Tüzünataç tweeted the following in response:
"I wonder if I should take this as an apology."
After this, NTV tweeted an apology, but it was somewhat problematic because NTV was saying they had been "misunderstood".
NTV's apology
NTV apologized to Berrak Tüzünataç as follows:
"There has been an erroneous expression in the heading of our fashion-related news item published today on Vogue Turkey and NTV Yaşam's social media accounts on Berrak Tüzünataç's style. We apologize to her for this misunderstanding. " (HK/PU)
