İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality has taken action against “lounging” in subway.
In a message shared on Metro İstanbul’s Twitter account, “lounging” ends.
Metro İstanbul in its message expressed that the signs will be placed in the vehicles.
“Gather Up Your Legs, Don’t Occupy My Seat”
Women had launched “Gather Up Your Legs, Don’t Occupy My Seat” campaign in 2014.
The idea of protest that came out from the women from the İstanbul Feminist Collective had turned into a campaign after seeing huge support on social media.
Stickers were prepared as part of the campaign and the women were sticking them on legs of men who lounged. (ÇT/TK)
