Antalya Governorship has banned drinking alcoholic beverage in public places in Antalya.
100 TL fine
The ban was imposed through the Law of Misdemeanor Article No. 32. According to the article, ones who act against the order that is given in line with the law on the purpose of protecting public safety, public order or public health will be imposed 100 TL administrative fine.
Ban was cancelled in Afyon
Afyonkarahisar Governorship had banned consumption and sale of alcoholic beverage in public areas indefinitely in 2012.
The decision was taken to the State Council, which ruled that the decision be revoked.
Following the Afyon Governorship, Isparta Governorship as well banned alcoholic beverage consumption in “public places”. (NV/TK)
