The General Staff has announced that 35 jets of which 24 are combatant jets, 37 helicopter of which eight are assault helicopters, 246 armored vehicles of which 74 are tanks and three ships were used in the July 15 coup attempt.
The prominent information from the statement of the Head of Department of the General Staff Press and Public Relations are as follows, according to the state-run Anadolu Agency:
*8,651 staff members joined [the coup attempt]. Of them 1,676 were privates and 1,214 were military soldiers. This figure corresponds to 1.5% of the Turkish Armed Forces’ (TSK) existing staff.

*Light arms were found on 3,992 of the coup plotters.
