Kılıçdaroğlu touched on the subject of sick prisoners in the meeting.
“There are 841 prisoners with permanent disease”
“Now, a relative of our mayor received a medical report from a doctor and was released. I am not asking why he was released, I am asking why the people who are in the same position are not released. There are now 841 prisoners with serious and permanent disease waiting for death. Why are not these people released? The number of prisoners who were not released despite their medical condition in the last five years is 451.
“Kuddusi Okkır was arrested as Ergenekon’s safe, he was tried. Okkır got sick and his death body got out.
“Brigadier General Levent Ersöz’s body rot in prison, his veins dried. He was not released and he died.
“Mehmet Haberal is a celebrated academic and a doctor at the same time. While he was in the hospital, they arrested his doctors for having him in the hospital. They send Haberal to prison but he got out through the Constitutional Court’s verdict. Which morals, what law are we talking about here?
“Miraz is a 8-month baby. He has medical issues. He is in prison with his mother.
“Gülay Çetin said she didn’t want to be released in a coffin. Release report by the Forensics Institution was delivered to the prison a month after her death”. (BK/TK)
