AP, Reuters: ISIS Claims Responsibility for Reina Attack
AP and Reuters news agencies have reported that ISIS had claimed responsibility for the gun attack on new year celebrations in Reina nightclub in Ortaköy district in İstanbul.
Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the gun attack in Ortaköy killing 39.
Reuters and Associated Press (AP) news agencies reported this morning (January 2) that ISIS in a statement has claimed responsibility for the gun attack during new year celebrations in Reina nightclub in Ortaköy.
Governorship of İstanbul has announced that the 46 people injured in the attack were still in treatment. 39 had lost their lives and 65 were injured in the gun attack in Reina on January 1.
According to the report of Reuters, ISIS in its statement has said;
"As a part of the sacred actions of ISIS against Turkey, the defender of the Christians, one khalifa soldier shot one of the most famous night clubs celebrating the feast of the Christians." (AS/DG)
