Karayalcin: Barzanis Blow on Us!
Karayalcin, the SHP leader which led the Union of Democratic Powers, attributed the failure of the Alliance in attaining even the votes of Democracy Party in the November 3 elections, to the influence of Kurd leaders Mesud Barzani and Jalal Talabani.
Murat Karayalcin said that the reason of their failure in the election had been the call made by Talabani and Barzani to the Kurds not to vote "For Kemalists SHP!"
A high-ranking Social Democrat People's Party (SHP) leader also said that the Rojname magazine published under Mesoud Barzani and Jalal Talabani had campaigned against SHP and Karayalcin, before the elections. (There are rumors that Democratic People's Party (DEHAP) will soon desert Karayalcin and carry out its political fight alone)
Meanwhile Anik, the Dargecit candidate of SHP, was arrested on grounds of collaborating with PKK-Kongra-Gel, NTV reported this morning. (YE)
