Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chair Devlet Bahçeli has appointed a committee to "investigate" the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP).
The committee will "analyze and investigate" CHP Chair Kılıçdaroğlu's acts and remarks "that constitute an offense" and the relation between the CHP and the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Bahçeli said in a written statement.
Bahçeli often accuses the HDP of being an "extension" of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
"Alliances of convenience, corrupt partnerships, crooked relationships and connections both put our country in a difficult position and bring political corruption to dangerous levels. The Turkish nation is following the developments with regret and concern," Bahçeli remarked.
The "out of control" CHP and the HDP being "on the same lane" is a big problem, he said, adding that Kılıçdaroğlu "hopes for the help of the PKK."
"Especially for the CHP Chairperson, the way is open for his immunity to be removed," Bahçeli remarked, saying that Kılıçdaroğlu should appear before a court.
For these reasons, the party formed a three-people committee, Bahçeli said. (RT/VK)
