The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has decided that 21 districts in İstanbul will recount votes after objections. It rejected appeals in 18 districts.
YSK Chair Sadi Güven said yesterday (April 3) that votes will be recounted in eight districts. YSK later in the day announced that 18 districts will recount votes.

The main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Spokesperson Faik Öztrak said today on a TV program that a total of 21 districts will recount the votes, with five of them conducting a full recount and others recounting the invalid votes.
Recount has been completed in three districts and there was not much change in the results, he added. In a previous statement, he announced those districts as the Princes' Islands, Eyüp and Büyükçekmece.
"Everyone can appeal but they should have evidence. For an appeal to be made, the duty holders at ballots must have added an annotation [to the minutes]. Here is the problem. Objection is a right. But things should be within the law for this right not to be misused," Öztrak said.
According to the YSK statement, the invalid votes will be recounted in the districts of Küçükçekmece, Beyoğlu, Başakşehir, Maltepe, Büyükçekmece, Çekmeköy, Eyüp, Fatih, Tuzla, Sarıyer, Ataşehir, Beykoz, Şile, Bayrampaşa, Gaziosmanpaşa, Ümraniye.
A full recount will be conducted in Çatalca, Silivri and Kartal.
AKP: Recount is done in Fatih
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) İstanbul MP Ahmet Hamdi Çamlı has said that the recount has been completed in Fatih district.
"Counting is completed in Fatih, we again made objections. Some things that the ballot council chair did not accept will be looked at again. For now, it's done. May Allah bless the state and the nation inshallah," he said.
Çamlı did not announce the result of the recount.
