The article no. 5 of "the Motion Foreseeing Amendments to Some Laws and Statutory Decrees on Health" has been brought to the agenda of the General Assembly of the parliament after the objections raised by the opposition.
The related article of the motion has foreseen restrictions on the employment of the physicians, who were discharged by Statutory Decrees or who were not appointed on the ground of negative outcomes of the security investigations launched against them, in private health institutions.
The MPs of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) have proposed that the related article be amended in such a way that "the medical doctors discharged by Statutory Decrees will be able to work in private hospitals contracted with the Social Security Insitution (SGK) and the medical reports to be issued by them will also be valid."
Article to be discussed again
The article, which was approved by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs Commission on November 7, will be discussed again at the General Assembly today (November 14).
Republican People's Party (CHP) MP Ali Şeker announced the amendment proposal of the AKP MPs on his Twitter account by stating,
"The medical doctors discharged by Statutory Decrees will be able to work in private hospitals that have contracts with the SGK and the medical reports to be issued by them will also be valid."
The negotiations regarding "the Motion Foreseeing Amendments to Some Laws and Statutory Decrees on Health" have still been continuing at the General Assembly of the parliament. (EMK/SD)
