In the district of Suruç in Turkey's southeastern province of Urfa, the police have stopped a car by firing their guns into the air and seized four sacks full of voting papers, which have been reported to be previously sealed to be taken to the schools. Three people in the car have been taken into custody.
As reported by Demirören News Agency, the police were informed that a car would bring a large number of pre-sealed voting papers to the Bilge Primary School on the way to the Mızar Neighborhood in Suruç today (June 24).
Upon receiving this information, the police forces ordered a car to stop near the school. After driver allegedly increased the speed of the car instead of stopping it, the police officers fired their guns into the air. In the meanwhile, the ones in the car threw the voting papers on the road. The police detained three people in the car. (EKN/SD)
